As Professor Farnsworth would say: "Good News, everyone!" Archive.org has indexed the site as it was in early May, before it caught a virus from China.

This means it is still possible to read my three-parter about AGS. I'd be annoyed if that went west forever...

But I never did get to read the piece about Markus Winkelhock. And the loss of the forum - if indeed this is permanent - means the "profile" of Justin Wilson that was never made official is gone forever, along with the last profile J&E ever wrote on t'old site.

Everything is transient...

Further to this, does anyone remember...

(a) who the site admins were, other than the obvious;
(b) if any of them can be contacted directly?

I wonder if it's worth a spot of cage-rattling, just to see if we can get any answers.

Don't have any answers for you. But I know East Londoner was the guy to take articles to stick onto the main website.

I've found him on Faceache, but as I well know, messaging someone I'm not "friends" with might take over a year to be noticed, as it effectively goes into a Spam folder that isn't marked "Spam".

I am a occasional GPRejects/F1rejects reader (and even more occasional poster) who was surprised when the web was shut down back in July. Now it's November, and it's intriguing that there hasn't been any word about the situation of the web on their social networks. Are there any updates or info about what happened?

P.S. Of course the owners have the right to manage their web the way the want (keeping it online is not free), and I suppose that there must be some explanation behind all this, but the sudden lack of news seems a little odd...

What makes it especially odd for me is that they initially promised it would be back up within a week or so, yet clearly that never happened, with no updates since.

They have put a tweet out,
- okay wishing everyone a merry Christmas but saying they are hoping the site will be back in some form in 2021

We all hope for a return.

Meanwhile, if this really is true, we should not forget about this place. It's been useful for the few of us who have found it.
