The halo wins IIDOTR. Not just the race, but the year, the decade even. I imagine Grosjean would be dead without it.

I totally agree. I think most of us thought he was dead when we first saw the crash. Medical team and the Marshalls were amazing as well.

Well, this was, by far, the worst accident that I have seen since I follow F1 (the late 90s). Absolutely brutal and horrific, Grosjean must feel really really really grateful of escaping death... He literally spent 20 seconds inside of his burning car, and the way his car ended completely stuck on the barriers... Halo saved his life, period.

Looks like the injuries are limited to some burns to the back of Grosjean's hands. No broken bones, no damage to his legs. A decision will be made tomorrow as to whether he will race next weekend!

That was so close to being a total catastrophe. So glad that Romain made it out relatively unscathed. It goes to show how the improvements to Formula One safety have not been in vain.
