So my prediction about the weather being in the running for both ROTR and IIDOTR seem to be on the ball. With the weather causing the cancellation of all F1 running today, this will turn the race either into a thill-a-minute, or it'll be a wash-out. Hoping that there still will be a race...

Stroll feeling ill during FP3, so going into qualifying, Racing Point has done a total of one hour practice with just one car. Experience gained prior to the Imola race that isn't the San Marino GP.

Re: Eifel 65 GP 2020
Based on his performances at Silverstone and the fact that everyone else only had one hour of practice at a track that was not on the calendar for many years, I expected a little bit more from the Incredible Hulk. But he was a last minute stand in, and it is nowhere near as early in the season as Silverstone was. Wish I had said Perez's teammate for Deadbeat Teammate of the Race, based on qualifying results.

Re: Eifel 65 GP 2020
I expected more as well, but apparently Hulk was only given the call at 11:00 this morning...
Still, nobody expected much out of Paul di Resta when he had that one-off drive for Williams in 2017, and though he might not have been the most exciting driver to call on, he was no mug. And yet, he was stone dead last with the same amount of time in the car that weekend.
I'll hope for rain tomorrow, though not too much as F1 is almost as bad as Indy for being scared of a wet track these days...

Re: Eifel 65 GP 2020
An article on Autosport is saying that Racing Point are just glad that the Hulk qualified with the 107%rule, which, given the amount of preparation time, is fair enough I guess.
And Stroll, it's not COVID19, it's a dire rear, sorry diarrhoea.

Well Hulk did well in the race up to 8th.
Alex Albon retired with 'power unit' issues. Yeah right. After he flat spotted his tires twice.

Turns out Albon's retirement was actually due to a punctured radiator...

He was still awful today though. Don't get me wrong I think he is a decent enough driver but I think there are better drivers who deserve a better seat in f1 and he is taking up the seat and keeps messing up. Possibly more than Gasly did.

Re: Eifel 65 GP 2020
Oh, I definitely agree! Being in a Red Bull, he should rightly have got his first win before Gasly did in a Alpha Tauri. Both Hulkenberg and Perez are available for that seat for next year. Perez may not have had a good time at McLaren but if I were Red Bull, I would rather put Perez in that seat than continue with Albon.rachel1990 wrote:dr-baker wrote:Turns out Albon's retirement was actually due to a punctured radiator...
